Bespoke Blues: Tesla Model 3 Performance & Volvo V60 R-Design by Autoclinic Singapore

ADMIN TEAM |

Finding a car modification kit that genuinely stands out in Singapore is harder than it sounds. The aftermarket scene is crowded, and most builds end up looking like every other car on the road. That is exactly why the OEM+ approach exists — upgrades that enhance the original design rather than replace it, resulting in a car that looks factory-correct but sharper, lower, and more purposeful than anything that rolled off the production line.

Last month, the team at Autoclinic Singapore had an opportunity to get up close on two bespoke builds that are completely opposite in character yet share the same OEM+ philosophy. One is an electric performance sedan. The other is a refined Swedish wagon. Both are exceptional.

Tesla Model 3 AWD Performance: Startech Body Kit Upgrade

Why the Startech Kit Stands Out

The Tesla Model 3 is one of the most common platforms on Singapore roads today, and the AWD Performance variant is the go-to choice for enthusiasts. With so many aftermarket options available for the Model 3, it is genuinely hard to find a kit that adds presence without looking overdone.

Our customer chose the Startech kit for two reasons: its aggressive yet clean design language, and its rarity. Only a select few Model 3s in Singapore are believed to carry this kit, which makes it an immediately recognisable build for those who know what to look for.

Front End: Sharper Bumper and Fog Lights

The Startech front bumper replaces the factory unit with a sportier, more angular design. Startech fog lights are integrated seamlessly into the new bumper, maintaining a clean OEM look while adding functional lighting and visual width to the nose.

Rear End: Diffuser and Spoiler

The sportier theme carries through to the rear, where a Startech rear bumper with an integrated diffuser gives the Model 3 a far more purposeful stance. A Startech rear spoiler completes the tail-end treatment, tying the body modifications together cohesively.

Suspension: KW Variant 3 Coilovers

Those with a keen eye will notice this Model 3 sits noticeably lower than factory ride height. That is thanks to a KW Variant 3 coilover suspension upgrade installed at the Autoclinic workshop. The KW V3 offers independent adjustment of compression and rebound damping, giving the driver full control over ride quality and handling balance without sacrificing daily drivability.

Volvo V60 R-Design Wagon: Heico Sportiv Transformation

Who Is Heico Sportiv?

Heico Sportiv is one of the most respected names in Volvo tuning. Their history with the Volvo brand spans close to three decades, making them one of the few complete car tuner brands that can match the factory's own engineering standards. If you have been in the Volvo scene for any length of time, Heico is a name you already know.

Complete Heico Body Kit

The Autoclinic team installed the full Heico body kit on this V60 R-Design wagon. The front receives a two-piece front spoiler with flap extensions and a central air intake positioned below the lower grille, giving the wagon a lower, wider visual stance without straying from Volvo's design language.

The rear treatment is equally considered. A Heico rear diffuser was fitted, along with four exhaust tail pipes finished in black chrome. The result is a wagon that looks as though Volvo's own R-Design division went one step further.

Performance Upgrades: DTE PedalBox, PowerControl X, and Sprint Filter

Upgrade

Brand

Benefit

Throttle controller

DTE PedalBox

Sharper, more immediate throttle response

Chiptuning module

DTE PowerControl X

+29HP and +75Nm increase in power and torque

Drop-in air filter

Sprint Filter P08

Improved airflow for better engine breathing

The DTE Systems combination of PedalBox and PowerControl X is one of the cleanest ways to extract meaningful performance gains from a modern turbocharged Volvo. Both are plug-and-play solutions that work within the factory engine management system, keeping the car warranty-friendly and fully reversible.

The Sprint Filter P08 performance drop-in filter rounds out the engine bay upgrades by ensuring the engine breathes as efficiently as possible, complementing the gains from the DTE PowerControl X chiptuning module.

What Is OEM+ Tuning and Why Does It Matter?

OEM+ tuning is the philosophy of upgrading a car using parts that feel like they could have come from the factory. Rather than chasing an extreme look or maximum power at the cost of reliability, OEM+ builds prioritise refinement. Every part enhances what the manufacturer originally intended, resulting in a car that is sharper and more capable without looking modified for modification's sake.

Both builds featured here follow this approach precisely. The Startech kit on the Model 3 and the Heico Sportiv treatment on the V60 are produced by brands with deep engineering roots in their respective platforms. The result in both cases is a car that rewards those who know what to look for.
