IO Pedal Throttle Tuning FAQ
The IOPEDAL has an official type approval from the German Federal Motor Transport Authority under ECE regulations and Directive 2014/30/EU (EMC) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe. With this approval, the component can be operated in Germany and many other countries without special registration. The E-marking is recognized in Germany according to § 21a StVZO. Installing accelerator tuning does not constitute a modification to a safety-relevant component and therefore does not require registration or TÜV approval.
The IOPEDAL is compatible with vehicles featuring combustion engines, fully electric drives, and hybrid technologies. It processes all currently used pedal signals, including analog, PWM, and digital SENT signals. With its future-proof architecture, it offers maximum flexibility for the modern automotive world.
Wireless remote controls offer maximum flexibility and elegance. Unlike wired versions, there are no visible cables that could disrupt the vehicle's interior. With the Bluetooth-controlled remote of the IOPEDAL, you can freely choose its position, such as left or right of the steering wheel, on the center console, or in the storage compartment – entirely according to your preferences.
The IOPEDAL offers versatile driving dynamics adjustment with the "Flavor-Select" function. Three different settings are available:
Normal:Standard characteristics in factory settings – optimal for daily use.
Power:Driving programs with a more dynamic, performance-oriented setup.
Precise:Reduced performance for maximum control and precision.
With Flavor-Select, you can customize your driving experience.
Based on our experience, the manufacturer's warranty remains unaffected, as the IOPEDAL does not make permanent changes to the engine control unit. However, we recommend consulting the vehicle manufacturer before installation to avoid misunderstandings.
