KW Solid Piston technology for more sensitive damping
For coilover suspensions with a displacement piston design (Solid Piston), we use a valve arrangement that is separate from the damper inner tube and piston rod. This gives the customer the following advantages:
- More sensitive, high-frequency damping
- Cavitation-free function of the dampers
- Lowest hysteresis
Adjusting the shock setup
After installation, you can adjust the compression and rebound individually with 13 clicks each in the low-speed and high-speed range. Thanks to our Solid Piston technology, a larger force range can be covered in the characteristic curve design. The result: significantly more harmonious damping.
V5 Clubsport Technology in detail
The compression damping is adjustable with 18 clicks in low speed and 18 clicks in high speed. The compression stage is already ideally set upon delivery.
The blow-off characteristic ensures optimum support for the vehicle body and guarantees a constant connection to the road.
The high-speed rebound stage influences how quickly the suspension spring relaxes back to its initial position.
Depending on the vehicle type, aluminum Unibal support bearings have a scalable camber adjustment and are optionally adjustable in caster.

Setup
Every KW Track Performance suspension is individually tuned by our specialists based on years of experience and vehicle-related data. As a result, we not only achieve maximum performance, but also less tyre wear and better lap times.
Uniball support bearing
Depending on the vehicle type, the aluminum Unibal bearings have a scalable camber setting and can also be optionally adjusted in the caster. This allows the camber angle to be adjusted so that the maximum tire contact area is achieved when cornering and handling become even more direct.
Composite spring seat
The height-adjustable KW spring plate is made from a resistant polyamide composite material. In contrast to anodized aluminum spring plates, the polyamide composite material prevents possible oxidation. The combination of INOX Line and stainless steel inlay ensures the long-term functionality of the height adjustment.
