On the cool evening of November 16, 2025, the AGC Lifestyle Park in Alabang was transformed into a haven for Honda enthusiasts. We were honored to be invited to their 8th Year-End Gathering, a celebration of nearly a decade of camaraderie and modification.
Autoclinic Philippines was there in full force, setting up our booth at the heart of the AGC Lifestyle Park to connect with old friends, meet new members, and talk about what we love most: making these cars drive as good as they look.
It was an incredible night of food, fun, and some of the cleanest builds in the country. But as suspension experts, we couldn't help but notice a very clear pattern in how these owners are upgrading their rides.

Walking around the parking lot at AGC, it wasn't just about "show." These cars are driven. From stance builds to track-ready warriors, the variety was staggering. But when we looked under the fenders, we saw that the community has largely converged on two suspension brands for their specific needs.
The Civic FC Standard: Why ST X, XA & XTA Dominate
If you drive a Civic FC (the sedan 1.8 or RS Turbo), you want a car that looks aggressive but can still handle the daily grind of Metro Manila traffic.
At the meet, it was impossible to ignore: the vast majority of Civic FCs were sitting on ST Suspensions. Specifically, the ST X, ST XA, and ST XTA models.

ST XTA (The Sharp Shooter): For those who want even sharper handling, the XTA is the go-to. It adds Aluminum Uniball Top Mounts (often with camber adjustment), providing instantaneous steering response that the stock rubber mounts simply can't match.
Because ST is "Made by KW," these owners get German engineering and galvanized durability at a price point that leaves budget for other mods like wheels and exhaust.
The FK8 Type R Choice: Precision with KW V3 & Clubsport
Then there are the heavy hitters: the Civic Type R (FK8). This is a track-bred monster right out of the box, so owners are extremely careful about what parts they install. You don't downgrade a Type R; you only upgrade it.
